The adp-vv Marian Groups of Prayer emerged from an intuition of Friar Volantino Verde, founder of the community of the "Little Friars and Little Nuns of Jesus and Mary" (pfsgm). Accepting the requests of many families and of many people who were fascinated by this evangelical lifestyle, he gave life to this new and unique lay experience in 2005. A little like the third order founded by St. Francis of Assisi, the adp-vv groups of prayer were founded in order to give the laity a real opportunity to live some measure of the pfsgm spirituality and charism, that is: to send as many souls possible to the Catholic Sacraments- above all- to the Sacrament of Holy Confession (with a Catholic priest) and Holy Communion with Jesus in the Eucharist.

All for the greater glory of God and the salvation of the most souls possible, for this is the aim and  the eternal crown of our Faith

(cf 1 Pet 1:9). Amen!

The adp-vv lay missionaries are Allies in the groups of prayer who have decided to give more time to God in their lay calling, living more closely the missionary aspect of the pfsgm. Among these, some, called adp-vv full-time missionaries, have decided to give all of their time to serve the works of the apostolate of the community; while others, called adp-vv part-time missionaries, give part of their time.

Furthermore, some of the Allies have created an association called "Allies of the Little Ones- Volantini Verdi (Green Flyers)" with the aim of deepening the spiritual life and the value of improving social morality through charitable works and means made available to the Association by faithful and benefactors, which may be the same associates or external persons (cf. Statuto dell'Associazione adp-vv).
